Vijayalakshmi Industries was established in the year 1948 as a general engineering SSI unit and in the year 1958 we switched over to manufacturing environmental test chambers in the country for the first time. For the last 65 years we are actively involved in defence R&D Projects such as Integrated Guided Missile Programme, LCA (Light Combat Aircraft) Programme, Testing of Various Ammunitions at different Ordnance Factories spread over the country, Battle Tanks at CVRDE, Avadi, Chennai etc.
We are also actively involved with ISRO Programmes and have supplied various environmental test chambers to space application centre, Ahmedabad, VSSC Thiruvananthapuram for testing rocket propellant fuel, launch sites at Thumba and Sriharikota. We have supplied environmental test chambers to BARC (Bhaba Atomic Research Centre) Trombay, Mumbai and are now in the process of installing a shock & impact test machine designed and manufactured by us as per Russian standards. A similar machine is installed at defence machinery design establishment for naval application.
Our MNC clients include Motorola, HP, Siemens, Hoeywell, GE Health Care Systems, GE BE, GE Medical Systems, GE Thermometrics, Flextronics, Compaq, De-link, Force Computers, Robert Bosch, Telsima, MobiApps, Tejas Networks, IPG Photonics India, WIPRO GE, Mistral Software etc. We are regular suppliers of these environmental test chambers to various public sector undertakings such as BEL, BHEL, BEML, HAL, HMT, ITI and CSIR Laboratories such as NPL, NAL, CMTI, CEERI, NPOL etc.
We are also extending our expertise to automobile industries such as MICO Bosch, TELCO, LUCAS TVS, PRICOL, SIEMENS VDO for developing Auto Electricals and Dash Boards Instruments to meet Euro & Japanese Standards.
